Shoshana Fagen is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in treating individuals with low to moderate needs autism spectrum disorder, autism and comorbid psychiatric diagnoses, behavioral sleep disorders, toileting difficulties, Functional Neurological Disorders, and comorbid mental and physical health conditions. She also runs a number of social skill groups for children and teens with autism spectrum disorder. She also has training and expertise in early childhood mental health and parent training. Dr. Fagen additionally provides Guardianship consultations for families who are considering obtaining legal guardianship for their children upon the age of majority.
Dr. Fagen has worked at Franciscan Children's for over 10 years. She trained at Columbia University's Teachers College and Antioch University New England. She completed her internship and post-doc hours at Community Healthlink, the former Worcester Youth Guidance Center. While at Franciscan's, Dr. Fagen has worked in multiple departments, including outpatient mental health, pediatrics, and inpatient medical rehabilitation. Dr. Fagen has additionally provided consultation to the inpatient Community Based Acute Treatment unit and the CWI school-based program around complex cases with a question of an autism spectrum disorder co-morbidity.
Dr. Fagen has served as co-chair of the Massachusetts Psychological Association's Advocacy Committee and the chair of the Mass Psychological PAC. She has volunteered as a Disaster Mental Health Clinician with the American Red Cross since 2013.
